Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used by the OrcaMarka Chrome Extension and associated web services.

The Information We Collect

OrcaMarka occasionally needs to collect information for convenience, practicality, or technical requirements. This information includes:

Account & Profile Information: We retrieve your email address and profile image URL from your active web session. We encourage the use of your email address so you can securely log in across multiple devices.
Authentication Data: We access your session cookies for orcamarka.com and utilize Google OAuth tokens. This is technically required to securely authenticate your requests and sync your saves without forcing you to constantly re-enter your credentials.
Saved Content: We collect the titles, URLs (addresses), and selected text of the pages you explicitly choose to save.
Website HTML: We capture the HTML contents of the pages you save. This is technically required to generate clean reading views and archive the content exactly as you found it. When HTML is saved for a page, it is only used within your account.
Automated Diagnostics: Like most digital services, OrcaMarka automatically collects basic diagnostic information transparent to visitors. We may log your IP address and information provided by your Internet browser to ensure our API is functioning correctly.

The Way We Use Information

We use the information you provide strictly to operate OrcaMarka's features. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent absolutely necessary to accomplish the app's functionality.

Core Functionality: Your captured web content and URLs are transmitted directly to our API to be stored in your personal workspace.
Service Improvement: We may use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design OrcaMarka. When information is used in this manner, we do not disclose anything that could be used to identify the individuals on whom the information is based.
Legal & Safety Disclosures: We may disclose your information in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal processes, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
Business Transfers: In the future, the company may sell, buy, merge, or partner with other businesses. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets.

Data Storage and Security

All captured web content, URLs, and user profiles are securely processed and stored using our Cloudflare infrastructure, including D1 databases and R2 storage environments. We utilize HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers.

Data Deletion

Your Rights and Choices

You retain full control over your data. You can log out of at any time to clear your local authentication tokens. You may view, manage, and permanently delete your saved web clips by logging into the main OrcaMarka web application.
